As freelancers and self-employed people, we’re taking a battering as a result of Coronavirus (COVID-19). Work is drying up and money is running short for millions of us. We need proper support now. That's why we're asking for a suspension on tax payments and an emergency minimum wage for all freelancers and the self-employed.
The only lifeline we’ve been offered is Universal Credit, which takes five weeks and is nowhere near close enough to live on. Our businesses, families and income are being destroyed - please give us the proper support we need.

To Boris Johnson and the UK government,
Millions of us who are either self-employed of freelance are facing serious uncertainty in the face of Coronavirus (COVID-19). We're being forced into choosing between food and rent. It's even scarier for families or those with dependents.
Universal Credit takes five weeks and is nowhere near enough to support us. That's why we're asking for emergency legislation to:
Provide a minimum wage for freelancers and the self-employed.
Suspend tax payments for the self-employed and freelancers
Thanks! Now please share what's happening at your work...
Thousand of us are still being told to work without proper protective equipment, and thousands more of us are working from home or losing work entirely. It's hard to know what's really happening with all the constant headlines. But the power of the Organise community is that we can show what it's really like at work right now - there are 120,000 of us.
